====== Site/Domain Info ======
Hi! Okay, so basically this site is a static companion to my **[[https://tozka.dreamwidth.org/|online journal]]**, which is hosted on Dreamwidth and updated more like a traditional blog by way of LiveJournal circa 2005. 

A "pixietail" is a creature from the late 1980s cartoon [[graphics:icons:90s_retro#lady_lovelylocks|Lady Lovelylocks]]. It was one of those cartoons meant to sell dolls and such; anyway I vibe with the aesthetics and so I've based most of my online persona's designs on that and similar fantasy shows, with a pastel color palette. {{ https://pixietails.club/icons/ladylocks/locks11.png?nolink}}

This site was previously at Doctorsidrat.com (one of my other pseuds), and was moved to Pixietails.club in 2019 (I think). Then the domain expired and I didn't renew it until just now, February 2025. Welcome back!

The .club domains were going for a steal when I first registered it, so I grabbed it. Of course now the prices have gone up...

===== Site Design (Brief) =====
This particular "layout" was installed in late February 2025, when I switched from a Wordpress blog to [[https://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki|Docuwiki]], which fits more of my needs. 

I really wanted a static website, but I also wanted something easy to update and something I could immediately add new pages to, without having to re-code individual HTML pages. A wiki seemed like a good compromise for that, though of course there's downsides as it's not a regular HTML website.

In March 2025, I figured out how to actually style the layout with colors and stuff! For more on what's what around here, check out the [[misc:credits|credits page]].
